Meet Rachel
Rachel Wise is a dancer, singer, actor, and lover of all things to do with bringing stories to life.
Rachel grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, where she waddled into her first dance class at the ripe age of 23 months old. She fell in love immediately and hasn’t stopped since. Her passions only continued to grow as she trained with dance schools such as Nashville Ballet and competed with Nashville Dance Center's competition team. Rachel grew up training in various styles such as ballet, hip hop, jazz, contemporary, tap, and modern. As she deepened her own personal love for performing, she realized the significance of art in our lives and the impact that creativity has on the emotions of people around us. The ability to connect to others through movement and storytelling began to fuel her, and she realized just how special it is to follow one’s dreams and share those dreams with others.

Rachel’s official introduction to theatre began at the age of 12 when she performed in a production of The Lion King Jr. This experience expanded her imagination on the endless performing possibilities and opened new avenues of storytelling for her. She learned the magic of storytelling through both dance and voice and was enthralled by the immersive nature of full-length productions. While studying in Pittsburgh, Rachel performed in Pittsburgh Musical Theater’s production of Jesus Christ Superstar as a featured dancer and member of the ensemble at the Byham Theater. Most recently, Rachel could be seen as a “Haunt” in a Pittsburgh Playhouse original production titled Boo’s Halloween House Party, written and directed by Ahmad Simmons.
Beyond the stage, Rachel has a deep passion for teaching dance to younger students and has been incredibly grateful to learn so much from the kids she has taught. Being able to see life through child-like eyes again has not only expanded Rachel’s imagination and creative side but has also taught her how to see magic in the mundane. On top of teaching in a classroom setting, Rachel also had the pleasure of assisting choreographically in productions of Willy Wonka Jr. and Frozen Jr. Along with this, Rachel is a self-proclaimed Disney adult who unashamedly gets maybe a little too excited when seeing a hidden Mickey in the wild. Her two cats bring her insurmountable amounts of joy, and she is quick to get way too lost in a good fiction book. She loves playing around with ways to blend both life and art together and is constantly excited about achieving her dreams and seeing what opportunities await her in the future.
